Three Light Pendant from the Marlow collection in Polished Nickel finish. In Corning, NY, the Brilliant Cut Glass phenomenon flourished from the late 19th century to the `20s. Marlow`s shades of hand-cut, latticed glass tip a hat to this authentic American art-form. At the same time it alludes to history, Marlow`s fabric-wrapped cords and minimalist socket holders manage to make it feel contemporary. As pendant, alone or in staggered clusters, it`s worthy of lingering admiration, as a wall sconce, it hangs with a half-vaulted suspension, calling to mind the architecture of a bridge.
