Four Light Chandelier from the Malden collection in Distressed Bronze finish. Like many civilized things, the history of the pleat goes back to Ancient Egypt. Pleats were a serious luxury, requiring extensive manual labor, and were only worn by royalty. This association with royalty continued into Europe through the Renaissance. Malden delights in this luxurious tradition, presenting an artistically outsized shade with vertical ribbing and elegant pleating through which the light softly diffuses.
